The Actors’ Gang Theater is at the Ivy Substation, near the corner of Venice Blvd and Culver Blvd. The company began in 1981 with eight UCLA students and says it now has 50 artists.

Built in 1907 as a traction substation for the Los Angeles Pacific Railway, the Ivy Substation was renovated for theater use in the 1990s. The Actors’ Gang describes the venue as a 99-seat space with stadium seating, a lobby, box office, concessions bar, upstairs dressing area, costume room and patio. The same building also houses the Ivy Substation.

First Fridays have programming announcements; second Fridays feature Put You On Blast!; third Fridays have a screening or Playground Shakespeare; and fourth Fridays feature Commedia Palooza.
